On November 6, 2009 “Norvik” UCO CJSC took part in a new Job Fair. For a second time it has been organized in Congress Hotel by Armenian State University of Economics.

The list of organizations taking part in this event was much wider as compared to the previous time. Representatives of financial and banking system, construction companies, communication operators and huge manufacturers participated in the job fair this time. Students and graduates of the leading universities of Armenia visited the event.

The main aim of this event was to introduce the visitors to the activities of the participating companies, to introduce them present vacancies and future plans of each organization, creating direct cooperation between the employers and their potential employees. Norvik UCO also introduced to the public its activities, future plans and vacancy perspectives.

During the discussion traditionally organized within the frameworks of the job fair, a number of progressive ideas were expressed, and it was announced that some of the offers made during the previous job fair were already realized. For instance, a new department of audit was opened at the Armenian State University of Economics; more attention started being paid to teaching of foreign languages and enlarging the period of student practice.

As the organizers of the event pointed out, this autumn job fair fully satisfied their expectations by both the level of participators’ activity and the amount of visitors, which helped to promote the cooperation between the employers and their potential employees.

Regarding the statistics of work placement rate among students and graduates visiting the job fair, analysis will be made during the upcoming months, which will help to judge more bravely about the effect of the event.

The organizers of the job fair expressed their special gratitude to the employees of Norvik UCO for efficient participation in the fair and discussion, and also articulated their hope that they will always see “Norvik Credit” among the most active participants.
